Atomic Bomb Exhibition in Port Vila

9月21日月曜日に、ポートビラのマーケットで、JICAボランティアの仲間と一緒に、広島、長崎の原爆を伝える展覧会を行いました。

戦後70年、日本人の私たちだからこそ伝えられる戦争の悲惨さや平和への思いがあります。来場者はバヌアツ人だけでなく、オーストラリアやニュージーランドなど海外からの方もいました。ニュージーランドの方は「自分の祖父が、戦後日本へ行って、復興支援を行ったと言っていた。」教えてくれました。

みなさん展示物やビデオをたくさんの方が見て行ってくださいました。また平和へのメッセージを寄せてくださった方々もたくさんいました。寄せられたメッセージは長崎の平和記念館へ送り、展示される予定です。

On September 21 Monday. We, JICA volunteers held the Atomic Bomb Exhibition at

market in Port Vila to tell about atomic bomb of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

The 70th anniversary of the end of war, we just Japanese can tell the tragedy of a war and thought of peace. People of attended were not only Ni-Vanuatu but also Australian, New Zealander and people from abroad. A New Zealander said, “My grandfather told me that he went to Japan to clean up.”

They looked display and watched video of atomic bomb.

Then many people wrote message of peace. Those messages will be sent to Nagasaki memorial museum and exhibited there.
